NOTE: Despite hysterical articles to the contrary, phenoxyethanol is one of the lowest hazard preservatives out there (see the Enviromental Working Group's report). In a liquid formulation, particularly with makeup, we prefer to be safe from microbes than sorry....also because we assume you will be using an organic face cream first, so the absorption rate of your makeup should be low. That being said, if you don't like this ingredient, then a POWDER mineral foundation is for you!
